Garmin's eTrex Legend is low cost GPS model that offers a mapping capability for both MapSource and MetroGuide maps. The eTrex Legend also has a built in WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) for improving position measurement accuracy.

The eTrex Legend has a backlit LCD display of 160 x 288 pixels.
Like the eTrex Legend, the eTrex Vista offers many of the same features including a base map of North and South America. The eTrex Vista is also designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from WAAS. In addition, the eTrex Visa combines these features with a barometric altimeter that determines your precise altitude and an electronic compass to provide bearing information while you're standing still.
